Finance Manager

KangarooTentCity and BBQs, Sydney’s original camping and outdoor retailer with 6 stores, is seeking a self-driven, highly motivated and experienced Finance Manager to manage the financial, accounting, taxation, payroll and office administration for the business.

Reporting to the Company Directors, you will be responsible for managing the financial and business requirements of the Group. You will lead the Group’s administration management, provide strong support to the Retail Support Team to evaluate new business ventures, manage and oversee statutory reporting and all internal and external reporting requirements, manage accounts payable, payroll, taxation and BAS requirements, and a variety of other business initiatives.

Intellectually sharp, you have a strong hands-on approach to managing the financial requirements of a business, and business savvy to actively pursue and generate savings and new revenue streams for the business.Strategically focused, a good communicator with people on all levels, strong negotiation skills, proactive, visible, commercially savvy, calm, and well reasoned are words that describe you.It goes without saying you have strong analytical skills, experience preparing BAS statements, use of Microsoft Excel and computerized accounting systems, and are an excellent leader and communicator. Your years of experience in accounting/ finance management role is solidly backed up by your MNIA / CPA / Chartered Accountant qualifications and membership.Experience in management of similar sized small to medium commercial enterprises, and experience with ABM Accounting Software is desirable.

You have a unique ability to build relationships at all levels of an organisation, which is supported by your strong communication skills.  Your skills in operating a PC will support your strong desire to finish what you start. You will also have a genuine interest in outdoor leisure activities and all the gadgets that go along with it!
